_{frankly, i think that this is a beautiful manipulation, one of your best in my opinion. it's got a beautiful lighting, the composition, though classical, is logical and places a perfect focus on your horse, the hair is gorgeously painted, particularly the tail (despite the fact that the forelock and mane seem to be going in two different directions, it doesn't shock, but after thinking about it it seems a little. . . strange?) and the general manipulation is well handled and well executed. the only thing that i have qualms with is the blending of the horse, as was pointed out by cas c: the horse doesn't seem to be interacting with the surface its standing on, seeming to almost floating atop it instead - i would expect the rock to be crumbling slightly around the hooves, or at least the horse to kick up a tiny bit of dust, and i think the area just below the hooves could have been darkened using various different tools. the hooves behind the rock also look the slightest bit odd - perhaps it's because they were not thoroughly erased?

all in all, i really like this, and i would like it even more if those hooves had been worked on a tiny bit more! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/>}
